Green Bay Packers

Another 5-1 NFC team that’s hurtling towards the postseason, the Green Bay Packers are having some eerily similar problems to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers: they are in dire need of a secondary.

With Jaire Alexander on IR and Kevin King battling injuries of his own, the Packers really could have used that Stephon Gilmore trade that failed to materialize. There’s a reason Davante Adams recruited Gilmore over Twitter, but there’s also a reason Gilmore never called GB: the money wasn’t there.

But if Green Bay gives something up, perhaps the Packers have a chance at defeating the Buccaneers in their eventual NFC Championship matchup. Any of the aforementioned corners are potential candidates Green Bay could pursue, but there’s also former Vikings CB Xavier Rhodes wasting away on the Indianapolis Colts. Dolphins CB Xavien Howard would also be a nice addition to Green Bay’s secondary, and it’s not like the team isn’t willing to take a chance on bolstering their defense. After all, this is the team that snatched up a coveted Jaylon Smith as soon as he hit the wire.

The Packers will have to find someone within their price range, but they definitely need all the help they can get to make their 5-1 record count for something later on.
