Chicago Bears: Dolphins’ WR Preston Williams

The Bears are truly in need of any help they can get at the moment. If you’ve watched a Bears game, you may not have been able to stay tuned in for all four quarters. On the bright side though, they’ve turned the reins over to rookie quarterback Justin Fields, so it can only go up from here.

Allen Robinson has had a rough season while playing on the franchise tag. It’s fair to wonder whether this is his last year in Chicago or not. Their other young receiver, Darnell Mooney, has shown flashes of an eventual number one receiver. Their offense, though, is missing playmakers.

Without surrendering much of their desperately-needed draft capital, the Bears can secure a solid starting wide receiver by trading for Preston Williams. Williams has been a good player when given the chance in Miami. His only problem so far has been continuously missing time due to injury.

With Jaylen Waddle, DeVante Parker, and Will Fuller all hogging receiver reps in Miami, perhaps a fresh start would benefit Williams while also giving Fields an athletic, possession receiver to grow with over time.
