Carolina Panthers: Chiefs’ G Laurent Duvernay-Tardif

Thinking the Chiefs could trade their offensive line depth after their Super Bowl performance in February would’ve been crazy — until they completely rebuilt the unit and got rid of some long-time players. Now, they are deep at the position and Laurent Duvernay-Tardif has become a healthy inactive on gamedays.

The Carolina Panthers are starting to struggle after starting 3-0, and a lot of that has to do with not providing ample protection for Sam Darnold. As we’ve seen in New York, if you aren’t able to give Darnold time, his play will decline.

Duvernay-Tardif will come in and provide reinforcements to a struggling offensive line that now will be without starting right guard John Miller, who suffered an ankle injury in their Week 7 game, for two to four weeks. Duvernay-Tardif excels at right guard, so the fit would be natural. The Panthers need to do anything they can to improve their offensive line if they want to keep Darnold upright.
