4. Mercedes Lewis will score a touchdown

Losing Robert Tonyan for the season is a big blow to the Packers’ offense. That doesn’t mean Green Bay is suddenly going to forget about leveraging the tight end position in their passing game.

The burden will fall to Lewis to, once again, assume a bigger role in his team’s aerial attack. He lacks the athleticism required to stretch the field vertically, but he does give Rodgers a big target to rely on in the red zone.

Look for Rodgers to squeeze at least one touchdown pass through the Chiefs secondary to Lewis when Green Bay gets near the goal line in this one. He’s got too much size for any of Kansas City’s safeties to handle one-on-one in close quarters. Rodgers knows what to do with Lewis’ unique skill set.

The Packers will rely on more on their collection of slot receivers than Lewis to make up for Tonyan’s absence, but the veteran tight end has a few tricks left up his sleeve. One of those tricks will earn him a touchdown on Sunday.
