Aaron Rodgers’ positive COVID test came back on Matt LaFleur’s birthday

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur got an awful birthday gift as Aaron Rodgers, his star quarterback, has tested positive for COVID-19 and will be out this weekend.
What’s the worst birthday gift you’ve ever received?
There are some things that should just never happen on a birthday. On his birthday, Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur received the news that Aaron Rodgers, his starting quarterback and one of the greatest players the NFL has ever seen, will be out due to COVID-19.
That’s probably not what LaFleur wanted for his birthday, but that’s what he’s been presented with.

Now the Packers will have to go out and face off against the Kansas City Chiefs with Jordan Love as their starting quarterback.
LaFleur seems like a bright head coach and Love seems to have some potential, but he’s still young and hasn’t proven to be as good a quarterback as Rodgers is. At least not yet. That may come with time.
Interestingly enough, it was actually Love’s birthday yesterday. So, the news that he’ll be the starting quarterback for the Packers this coming weekend came one day after he was celebrating his 23rd birthday.

Replacing Rodgers will be difficult, if not impossible. That doesn’t mean Love won’t be good, but Rodgers is such a transcendent talent that few can actually replicate the sort of performances he puts on.
On the bright side for Green Bay, at least they’re facing the Chiefs, who have been struggling through much of this season.
