The Houston Texans are an abject disaster, but what Tyrod Taylor did this Sunday is borderline asinine. Hell, Davis Mills could’ve done better.

Taylor is supposed to be the stable veteran to come in and right the ship, at least somewhat, at this point in his NFL career. Instead, he made one of the worst decisions we’ve seen in the history of professional football.

The 32-year-old is playing with house money at this point — the Texans don’t have any right to bench him, because they have no one to bench him for. Houston is in full-on tank mode, and they have no quarterback of the future to speak of. It’s bad. And Tyrod is playing like it, too.

Where was he trying to throw that football? Surely, Taylor must’ve thought he was out of bounds on the play.

Houston Texans have given up on the season

If the Texans could sign up for 1-16 right now, they likely would.

While several players have plenty to play for given their free agent status, and hopeful nature they’ll be playing somewhere (heck, anywhere) but Houston next season, the organization as a whole would rather have the No. 1 overall draft pick. And it’s tough to blame them.

Taylor thought he was out of bounds against Miami and simply lobbed the ball towards the awaiting arms of a Dolphins defender. It was ludicrous, and downright hilarious to anyone watching. Sorry, Texans fans.
