2021 NFL power rankings, Week 10: Browns romp, Bills rocked
It was a short week for Frank Reich’s squad but a quick opportunity to get rid of that bad taste of the team’s 34-31 overtime loss to the Titans four days earlier. Second-year running back Jonathan Taylor ran 19 times for 172 yards and two scores as the Colts rushed for 260 yards.
Carson Wentz was very sharp, hitting on 22-of-30 throws for 272 yards and three scores. Indianapolis gained 532 total yards and Reich’s team came up with two more takeaways.
Talk about a stunner. The Broncos were 3-0, lost four games in a row and rebounded last week with a victory over Washington. But who saw Vic Fangio’s team with a 30-0 lead in the fourth quarter at Arlington?
Rookie running back Javonte Williams carried 17 times for 111 yards as Denver rolled up 190 yards rushing against the Dallas’ defense. Teddy Bridgewater overcame four sacks, threw for 249 yards and one score and ran for another TD.
Sean Payton’s club had an opportunity to tie the Buccaneers for first place in the NFC North when they hosted the unpredictable Falcons. Trevor Siemian was at the helm in place of Jameis Winston, out for the season with knee injury.
And just when it looked like the Saints would be blown out of the Superdome, they rallied from a 24-6 hole to take a one-point advantage with 61 seconds to play. But the defense couldn’t stop Matt Ryan late in the game.
