In one of the biggest college basketball games of the year, No. 4 Villanova takes on No. 2 UCLA in a game that could be a preview of a Final Four matchup.

College basketball’s opening week schedule has already featured great matchups like Michigan State vs. Kansas and Kentucky vs. Duke on opening night, but the weekend features a pair of really great games too. Beyond UCLA hosting Villanova, another top=five showdown awaits Gonzaga and Texas who clash on the court.

UCLA won its opener over CSU Bakersfield, 95-58, while Villanova had a 91-51 win over Mount Saint Mary’s.

Cody Riley won’t be suiting up for the Bruins after suffering an MCL sprain but this promises to be a game we see the two have a rematch in late March in the NCAA Tournament.

This is going to be a game that’s decided in the final seconds. The two teams are relatively evenly matched but UCLA should get the win on their homecourt.

The next big test for Villanova comes on Nov. 20 when the Wildcats meet No. 18 Tennessee.
