Bold Prediction #2: Matt Ryan-Mac Jones is a matchup to watch

Those in two-quarterback leagues or dealing with bye weeks who have Mac Jones or Matt Ryan as their backup understand how frustrating it can be. One week, Matt Ryan will put up 30 points from the quarterback position. The next week, he could have negative points against a bad defense. Ryan’s trajectory this season doesn’t make sense. It likely doesn’t help that he is without Calvin Ridley likely for the rest of the season, but for one week, he’s an interesting play.

Ryan is going into his first matchup with the team that started his nightmares directed from “28-3”. The Falcons and Patriots played once since that Super Bowl, and it was just a couple of months later. Now that there’s been some time to reflect, there is a lot of motivation for Ryan to show himself as a much better player.

Mac Jones was spectacular last week, but he’s another frustrating fantasy player who seems to be starting during his rough outings and on your bench when he’s breaking 25 points. This week, he’s very startable in all leagues. The Falcons defense makes it easy on the quarterback on most weeks. They’ve allowed the third-most points to quarterbacks in the league. Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels will put together a game plan to attack the Falcons defense, and this will lead to a huge week.

Ryan will be looking to get payback on the Patriots, and it will lead to a big passing day for Ryan. Maybe he throws two interceptions, but he will get a ton of yards and he will get at least two touchdowns.
