Pittsburgh Steelers

If there is one team that needs to fix their quarterback situation, it is the Pittsburgh Steelers.

This offseason, after a rather down 2020 campaign, Ben Roethlisberger was brought back on a restructured contract on what could essentially be a one-year deal. In 2021, the veteran’s arm strength is no longer what it used to be. Even with Roethlisberger struggling, the backup options are no better.

Mason Rudolph has not exactly inspired much confidence when starting for an injured Roethlisberger. Then, there is Dwayne Haskins, who is firmly the No. 3 quarterback on the team with no signs of him leaping up the depth chart.

The Steelers need to find their next quarterback for the foreseeable future. The quarterbacks in this year’s NFL Draft class are good, but not elite. If Pittsburgh wants to bring in a proven commodity, then Wilson is their guy.

Plus, Wilson would get to throw to the likes of Chase Claypool and Diontae Johnson, while handing the ball off to Najee Harris. Oh, and he will have a stout defense that will make games much more winnable for him.
