4. Ezekiel Elliott will get 20+ carries

There will be serious pressure on the Cowboys’ offensive line to up their game on Thursday afternoon. Protecting Prescott will be a key to McCarthy’s game plan. Part of that formula will depend on getting the ground game moving against the Raiders’ front seven.

Elliott only got nine carries last week and only produced 32 yards. Dallas needs him to soak up more volume with increased efficiency this week.

That’s why the Cowboys are going to feed their bell-cow running back all he can handle. Every tough Elliott gets on the ground will stop Prescott from facing pressure in the pocket. Even if Elliott isn’t ripping off big gains the threat of his rushing prowess should do wonders to slow down Las Vegas’ pass rush.

The end result will see Elliott flirting with 100 rushing yards on 20+ carries. He’ll need to pop one big run to get over the century mark, but this is a favorable matchup for him to do just that.
