2. Tim Patrick, Courtland Sutton score touchdowns after earning contract extensions

Even though the Broncos were on a bye week, they made sure to lock in two pieces to their offenses.

First, Denver signed Tim Patrick to a three-year, $34.5 million contract extension following an impressive first half of the season. 24 hours later, the Broncos finalized a deal with Courtland Sutton on a four-year, $60.8 million contract extension. That is two of their top three wide receivers on the depth chart secured for the next three years, at minimum.

Given that the duo has gotten huge paydays, we’d envision that they will be extremely motivated to show they are worth their new deals. Patrick last got in the end zone in their massive victory over the Dallas Cowboys. As for Sutton, he has not scored a touchdown since Week 6 against the Las Vegas Raiders.

They do face a Chargers defense that has surrendered only 15 passing touchdowns on the year. Even so, expect the two to each score a touchdown in Denver on Sunday.
