3 potential transfer destinations for Quinn Ewers
1. Texas Longhorns
It almost feels too easy for Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns with Quinn Ewers reportedly heavily considering transferring to Austin.
Suffice it to say that year one for Sark did not go anything close to smoothly as the Longhorns failed to make a bowl game, lost to Kansas, and did nothing to avoid being the butt of jokes from the college football world at large. Defense was certainly a problem but it also became clear there isn’t an answer at quarterback.
Whether it was young Hudson Card or veteran Casey Thompson, the Longhorns simply lacked the consistent playmaking at the quarterback spot that is necessary to compete at the highest level in modern college football. But as mentioned, they now have the opportunity to grab a player who can provide that for this offense with Ewers now in the portal.
Ewers feels readymade to wear burnt orange. Not only is he a native of the state, which makes the fit natural in itself, but he’s already establishing a star-type presence with his signature mullet, his NIL deals already in the works and so much more. He’s the type of player with the aura that is the size of his home state, so it only would make sense for him to return and become the savior of a program such as the Texas Longhorns that has long needed a player of his caliber.
