QB. Andy Dalton. Scouting Report. Chicago Bears. 2. player. 57. Pick Analysis

The 2021 Bears are quickly becoming the 2019 Bengals before our very eyes

It shouldn’t be this excruciatingly painful, but Chicago Bears ownership is making a point to be stubborn as hell. They have a pristine track record of never firing a head coach in-season. For as long as Matt Nagy is allowed to go out there, collect a check and drive the Chicago offense into the ground, the 2021 Bears will continue to resemble the 2019 Cincinnati Bengals with Andy Dalton.

Justin Fields may have been hurt, but he does not need to be forced out there to play for a bad offensive coaching staff in terrible weather. Dalton may know exactly what offensive coordinator Bill Lazor wants to do, but it doesn’t really matter. The McCaskeys will find a way to delay the inevitable until Black Monday. The fanbase deserves so much better than this festering crap.

A four-pick game by Dalton at home vs. an Arizona Cardinals team where Kyler Murray wasn’t close to 100 percent was a terrible look. At this point, the Bears can beat the Lions, and that’s about it. There may not be a locker room in the NFL that is more out on its head coach than the Bears are with Nagy. Dalton will be a scapegoat too, but the Bears are a complete trainwreck now.

The sooner the Bears can accept that this season is over, the quicker they can move on to 2022.
