Scouting Report. New Orleans Saints. Taysom Hill. 1. 15. Pick Analysis. QB. player

Who Dat Nation does not deserve to see a gadget player at quarterback anymore

No amount of smoke and mirrors can hide what Taysom Hill really is anymore. Disguised as the rightful heir to the quarterbacking throne vacated by Drew Brees upon his retirement, all he is is a 30-something former run-first quarterback from BYU that can do other football things good, too. While he does have value on an NFL roster, he under no circumstance should start another game.

New Orleans Saints fan deserve better than having wool pulled over their eyes by head coach Sean Payton. They faced a Dallas Cowboys team on a short week with their head coach ruled out due to COVID protocol. Taking his place was former NFC South whipping boy Dan Quinn of Atlanta Falcons infamy. With his backwards hat and a real NFL starting quarterback, he won on Thursday.

With Jameis Winston’s torn ACL and Trevor Siemian clearly not the answer, the Saints are better served feeding rookie Ian Book to the wolves than letting Hill start another game for them. This team is not making the playoffs. Book was never afraid of the big moment at Notre Dame. He may not become a great pro, but he was drafted as a quarterback. Well, the Saints need a quarterback.

Four interceptions in primetime at home vs. the Cowboys was more than enough for all involved.
