Derek Carr won’t throw a TD pass

Derek Carr has played the Chiefs 15 times in his career. His record against them is 3-12. So going into Kansas City was going to be a challenge for the Raiders quarterback, even if his last trip there was a rousing success with a 40-32 victory.

Carr’s task will be much more difficult if tight end Darren Waller doesn’t play.

Waller missed Wednesday’s practice because of the same knee and back injuries that kept him out against Washington last week. He’s “day-to-day” so there’s a chance he could play. If he does suit up, he may not be at his best.

Is it a coincidence Carr failed to throw a touchdown pass for only the second time this season with Waller missing against WFT?

Carr will have Hunter Renfroe at his disposal either way. He had seven catches for 46 yards and a touchdown against the Chiefs last time.

This time, Carr won’t find the endzone.
