Matt Rhule’s second season in charge of the Carolina Panthers isn’t looking too hot.

He’s already parted ways with offensive coordinator Joe Brady. The move may buy him some time but results have to change after throwing an assistant under the bus. They didn’t on Sunday as the Panthers lost to the Falcons at home. They sit at the bottom of the NFC South at 5-8.

Rhule isn’t doing much to instill confidence either. He’s named Cam Newton his starting quarterback but he also took him out at times against Atlanta because Walker has a better handle on the two-minute drill. You know what they say about having two quarterbacks? Apparently, Rhule doesn’t.

The bye week should have been an opportunity to reset. Rhule was indecisive in getting rid of Brady and now he’s indecisive with his management of the quarterbacks.

Rhule’s biggest problem now is that his team finishes the season with a very unfavorable schedule. They get to travel to Buffalo next week then they will close out with two games against the Buccaneers and a road trip to New Orleans. It would be no surprise if they lost all four.
