Urban Meyer

What more needs to be said about Urban Meyer‘s tenure with the Jacksonville Jaguars? He’s been embroiled in controversy and embarrassment after controversy and embarrassment.

The latest one involved yet another report detailing the dysfunction within the Jaguars organization, including Meyer berating his assistant coaches as “losers.”

Meyer would be in a better spot if the results on the field were more encouraging. Sunday’s 20-0 loss to the Titans makes it seem like the allegedly toxic atmosphere is impacting the performance of the team.

Trevor Lawrence isn’t developing. He threw four interceptions against Tennessee and has thrown one touchdown in the last six weeks. The offense is a complete mess. The defense hasn’t been able to make up for it.

Jacksonville was supposed to be a team with a bright future. They could look forward to a new coach, the top quarterback pick and more young talent. Instead, they look like the most hopeless franchise in the NFL under Meyer.
