Bold prediction #1: Steelers pass catchers will win playoff games

Diontae Johnson has been awesome for the Pittsburgh Steelers most weeks this season. He’s been everything teams have hoped for when they drafted him. Chase Claypool, on the other hand, has struggled to make a difference from week to week. He was very good last week for fantasy owners with eight catches on nine targets for 93 yards, but a few bonehead plays on the field could theoretically hurt his place in the Steelers roster.

However, the Steelers need Claypool and Johnson when the season is on the line. The Steelers are magically back in the AFC North title picture. In fact, everyone is. The Steelers are a game and a half back of the Baltimore Ravens, but they just lost their starting quarterback, and that might be one injury too many. In Cincinnati, the Bengals are the most inconsistent team in the NFL. Who knows what they will end up being. Then, there are the Browns. That’s pretty much all that needs to be said there.

The Steelers are going to throw the ball this week against the Tennessee Titans. Only one team in the NFL allows more fantasy points to wide receivers. Claypool will be motivated to show his issues from last week aren’t going to define him, and Johnson is always motivated to put up points. Pat Friermuth is worth a start too after he had the Steelers game in his hands before it got knocked out at the last moment last Thursday. It all comes down to Ben Roethlisberger’s ability to get the ball there, but he’s shown he can still get it there in the right situations.
