2. JuJu Smith-Schuster

When the Steelers and Smith-Schuster reached their one-year deal last offseason to bring him back, fans were fired up. The stud wideout spurned the Chiefs and others to run things back with the Steelers. There was so much promise for him in 2021.

Unfortunately, things couldn’t have gone worse for him this fall, as Smith-Schuster was only able to play in five games. He suffered a serious shoulder injury and his season was done in the blink of an eye. Countless folks hated seeing it.

In those five contests, things didn’t go too great for the wideout, as he posted 15 receptions for 129 yards and no touchdowns. His lone score came on the ground. This was a prove-it year for Smith-Schuster and his shoulder injury ruined everything.

As much as he’s loved by everyone in Pittsburgh – as he’s made a huge impact on the community – it feels like the best thing for the two sides is for them to part ways this winter. Smith-Schuster still has plenty of good football ahead of him, but it may end up coming outside of Pittsburgh.
