6. Jared Cook, Los Angeles Chargers

Rostered: 49.8 percent

Jared Cook has had an odd season. He is the top tight end in an offense that is seventh in the NFL in points per game, and he has been targeted 71 times. Yet, Cook has not been a reliable fantasy option.

However, he will have a great matchup this week against the Houston Texans. This season, the Texans’ defense is giving up 26.6 points per game (fourth-most in the NFL), and they are allowing the eighth-most fantasy points to tight ends.

He has TE1 upside.

5. Gerald Everett, Seattle Seahawks

Rostered: 18.4 percent

Last week, Gerald Everett recorded four receptions for 60 yards. It was another solid performance for Everett, who has been building momentum down the stretch. Everett has produced at least ten fantasy points in four out of his last six games.

Since Week 10, Everett is tenth among tight ends in fantasy points.

Everett’s targets have seen a slight decline over the past two games, where he has been targeted only six total times. Nevertheless, he has salvaged those fantasy performances with a receiving touchdown in Week 14 and a high-yardage total in Week 15.

Everett has upside, once again, this Sunday, but some of the options ahead of him on this list may be safer.
