3. Cedrick Wilson will get 10+ targets

Michael Gallup’s ill-timed injury leaves a big opening for the Cowboys at the No. 3 receiver position. Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb are established stars, but the Dallas offense needs three big-time playmakers at receiver to operate at maximum efficiency.

Wilson stepped up in a major way with six catches for 35 yards against Arizona and he’ll need to keep that level of production up for the rest of the season. The Eagles secondary will rightly focus the majority of their attention on Cooper and Lamb to start this game. That will give Wilson a great chance to do serious damage in the first and second quarters on Saturday night.

Double-digit targets for Wilson are easy to envision given the monumental struggles of the Cowboys’ running game in recent weeks. He may not give Prescott the same sort of vertical threat that Gallup gave, but he can hurt opponents with his ability to produce yards after the catch.

The big key for Wilson will be to make sure he can scare opposing defensive backs with his big play ability. That’s an underrated aspect of what Gallup gave this offense from the slot. Targeting him frequently early against the Eagles should loosen things up for Dallas’ offense in the second half.
