3. Josiah Deguara will get 8+ targets

If Jordan Love takes a lot of snaps in this game it’s safe to assume he’ll struggle to push the ball down the field with the same frequency that Rodgers does. That’s excellent news for Deguara. The relatively unheralded tight end has started to play a larger role for the Packers in recent weeks.

He only caught two balls last week but he could be in line for a big day on Sunday. Flirting with double-digit targets isn’t out of the question since Green Bay will be looking to control possession. Keeping the chains moving with throws to the tight end will be a big staple of LaFLeur’s game plan.

Deguara isn’t a big-time talent, but he’s a versatile receiving threat who does a good job finding space against opposing secondaries. He won’t rack up a ton of yards this week, but a 50 yard receiving day could be in the offing.

The bold prediction here is that he gets at least eight targets on the afternoon. The Lions’ secondary can’t afford to forget about Deguara if they want to pull off the monumental upset.
