4. Rashan Gary will get a pair of sacks

Interestingly, the Lions are blessed with really good talent at the offensive tackle position with Taylor Decker and Penei Sewell. That doesn’t mean they can adequately protect Goff when the Packers get going on obvious passing downs.

Gary has been a nightmare to handle for opposing offensive linemen this year. He logged one sack against the Vikings last Sunday, but he also registered four quarterback hits. He’s going to enjoy another big day against the Lions this week.

Goff does a decent job of getting the ball out of his hands on time, but that doesn’t stop him from getting sacked frequently. Gary’s got the kind of pop from the outside to get to the former No. 1 overall pick before he can get to his second read.

That’s why Gary is a good bet to get a pair of sacks this week. He’s Green Bay’s best pass rusher by a wide margin. Don’t be surprised if he becomes a big star for the Packers this year if they make a deep playoff run.
