Alabama vs. Georgia: Top 10 NFL Draft prospects to watch in National Championship Game
By Matt Melton
4. Jordan Davis, Georgia defensive tackle
Arguably the face of the Georgia defense, Jordan Davis begins the run here at No. 4 of the names that you could certainly argue are likely a lock to be selected in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
A standout on the Bulldogs defensive line, you won’t find many players in college football who have a bigger impact on the field for their team than Davis, a 6-foot-6 and 340 pounds defensive tackle who clogs-up the middle of the field as a run-stopper, as well as being a capable pass rusher.
The 2021 Outland Trophy and Chuck Bednarik Award winner, Davis you could certainly argue is the top interior defensive lineman in this draft, one who has seen success against some of the top offensive lines in the country over the past four season’s. Because of this, Davis will likely be a sought-after prospect in the mid-to-late first round, especially by teams who need a dominant run-stopper.
Having added four tackles (his second most of the season) against Alabama in the SEC Championship Game, expect Davis to put the finishing touches on a phenomenal collegiate career with the Bulldogs on Monday night with another strong showing against the Crimson Tide.
