The New York Jets have the draft compensation to pull off a blockbuster trade

Perhaps the best trade partner for the Falcons in a deal for Ridley is the New York Jets. Gang Green has two top-10 picks this year, as well as an additional second-rounder in the trade they made with the Carolina Panthers for Sam Darnold. Is Ridley worth a top-10 pick? That might be a bit much, but the Jets have the longest active playoff drought in football. They have to get better.

The best thing they can do is figure out a way to come to life fast on offense. While Robert Saleh should have the defense trending up in year two, the best way the Jets can get out of the AFC East cellar is to have a top-flight wide receiver catching balls from Zach Wilson. Ridley may have been hit-or-miss as an at-times No. 1 option in Atlanta, but Wilson has a stronger arm over Matt Ryan.

Of course, what receiving target has gone on to have better success after leaving Ryan? That is neither here nor there, but Atlanta needs to move off Ridley and get compensation to salvage the last year or two Ryan is in Falcons uniform. The Falcons crushed it with their No. 4 overall pick in Pro Bowl tight end Kyle Pitts. The question is how desperate are the Jets to get better offensively?

Ridley will have a robust market, but teams like the Colts, Eagles and Jets make the most sense.
