The Buffalo Bills will likely take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the next round of the playoffs. Here’s why they can beat them this time.

If the Chiefs beat the Steelers on Monday night, which they are heavily favored to do, then the Buffalo vs. Kansas City matchup everyone wants to see will go forward.

It won’t be for the AFC Championship like it was last year, but it’ll be a rematch of that game which the Chiefs won 38-24. The final scoreline is deceptive. KC lead by double-digits for most of the game and had a 38-15 advantage midway the fourth quarter.

3 reasons Bills are ready to finally get past Chiefs in playoffs

Bills will be on fresher legs

Buffalo was always going to have a slight advantage over their opponent in the next round of the playoffs playing on Saturday night. They’ll get to cash that chip in for the next round.

The Chiefs are playing on Sunday night, a full 24-hours after the Bills kicked off against the Patriots.

Kansas City may very well smash Pittsburgh like the Buffalo did to New England but it could also end up being a hard-fought game. It could certainly require more effort than the Bills needed on Saturday to see off the Patriots.

So the Bills will have an extra day of rest following a confidence-boosting, unchallenging victory. The Chiefs will be on short rest while facing a desperate opponent who may not go down easy.
