Keisean Nixon, CB

When it comes to restricted free agents on the Raiders, one name the team should retain is cornerback Keisean Nixon.

The Raiders brought in Nixon as an undrafted free agent after spending his collegiate career with the South Carolina Gamecocks. This season, Nixon received the second start of his career in Week 15 against the Cleveland Browns, where he recorded four combined tackles and one quarterback hit in the 16-14 win.

Overall, Nixon recorded 38 combined tackles and one defended pass in 40 career games.

Zay Jones, WR

The Raiders are going to need to address the wide receiver position this offseason, but Zay Jones has proven that he is worthy of earning a second contract.

Jones signed a one-year, $2.5 million contract to play in Las Vegas after spending the first four years of his career with the Buffalo Bills. As it turns out, this was a career year for the former 2017 second-round pick out of East Carolina.

Through all 17 regular-season games, Jones hauled in 47 passes for 546 yards and one touchdown on 70 targets. In the Wild Card game, Jones recorded five receptions for 62 yards on eight targets. One of those catches was a 14-yard touchdown catch at the end of the second quarter to cut Las Vegas’ deficit to 20-13.

Jones has definitely earned a new contract with the Raiders to stay for the 2022 season and beyond.
