Dak Prescott’s brother wants to know why Aaron Rodgers gets free pass
Dak Prescott’s brother thinks the Cowboys QB gets the short end of the stick while Aaron Rodgers gets a pass from criticism over playoff performances.
Few could have predicted it but the San Francisco 49ers managed to upset two of the top teams in the NFC, led by two of the best quarterbacks in the league.
In the Wild Card round, Jimmy Garoppolo took down the Cowboys and Dak Prescott, who was hammered for his poor performance.
San Francisco did it again in the Divisional Round against the Packers, holding Aaron Rodgers to a QBR of 19.4
Tad Prescott, Dak’s brother, wants to know why Rodgers didn’t face the same type of criticism as his brother.
Dak Prescott’s brother thinks Aaron Rodgers gets less criticism
The biggest issue with Prescott’s assertion is that he seems ignorant of the torrent of criticism sent Rodgers’ way on Saturday.
Fans and media didn’t shrug and say, “Oh well, Aaron Rodgers is free of blame here.”
He was meme’d by many and roasted by a Chicago hot dog stand in the immediate aftermath. People pointed out how Rodgers hasn’t won anything of note for his team since the Super Bowl in 2011.
Then on Monday morning, he was the subject of scorn national TV shows.
To act like Rodgers is getting less criticism than Dak is only proof that he is not paying attention.
The main difference between Dak and Rodgers is their record. Rodgers has a Super Bowl victory under his belt and three MVP seasons. Dak has one playoff win in his career.
Even so, Rodgers has not been immune from criticism in the slightest. It just took longer for the goodwill from his championship season to wear thin.
In any case, what Rodgers does has no real bearing on what criticism Prescott is due when he performs poorly. That’s the nature of the game.
