Pittsburgh Steelers: Aaron Rodgers as Ben Roethlisberger replacement

Heading into the offseason, the Steelers’ quarterback room is arguably the worst situation in the NFL. At the moment, the two quarterbacks on Pittsburgh’s roster are Mason Rudolph and Dwayne Haskins. Both quarterbacks arguably do not belong on an NFL field. Rudolph has been pedestrian at best when given a shot to play, and Haskins has shown immaturity and lack of motivation to be an NFL quarterback.

A Rodgers-Steelers trade makes a ton of sense. Pittsburgh is in a division with Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow, who has already led the Bengals to the Super Bowl in his second season as a starter. The Steelers’ roster is arguably the best in the AFC North, but the one missing piece is the quarterback.

Rodgers would be more than happy to throw the ball to Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool, while possessing a multi-dimensional running back in Najee Harris. The offensive line is in the middle of a rebuild, but it is young and had a full year of development. The defense has carried this team to the last two postseasons, and if only they had a quarterback, maybe this team could have made a run in the playoffs.

The Steelers have a compelling roster where Rodgers could step in from day one, and Pittsburgh could be viewed as the favorite in the AFC. Pittsburgh is historically one of the best run organizations and Mike Tomlin has helped the Steelers remain competitive despite having terrible quarterback play the last two seasons. Pittsburgh may present Rodgers the best chance at winning another Super Bowl.
