Lakers rumors: 3 buyout players LeBron needs to convince to sign in L.A.
If LeBron James wants to win anything in Los Angeles this year, he needs to get to work convincing players on the buyout market to come to the Lakers.
The NBA trade deadline came and went without the Lakers being able to get any deals done. They have to push forward with Russell Westbrook and their current makeup.
However, that doesn’t mean they can’t find a little bit of help from elsewhere.
When the deadline passed, reports emerged saying Los Angeles would look to be active in the buyout market as they work to put fix their broken squad.

Gary Harris
The Lakers need to get a lot better and quick, but there aren’t exactly a ton of buyout names on the table who can legitimately do that.
Gary Harris is a 3-and-D option who could come in and give the Lakers stronger depth at guard, especially considering Talen Horten-Tucker’s step back.
Harris has averaged 11.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists for the Magic this season but he’s come on greatly since December after a quiet start. He’s as hot from beyond the arc as anyone out there. He and Malik Monk could do some serious damage on that front.
