The musician singing “America The Beautiful” at Super Bowl 56 is six-time Grammy nominee Jhene Aiko, who is a Los Angeles native.

Los Angeles will be hosting its eighth Super Bowl on Feb. 13, 2022, but it will be the first time the event is being held at the recently-constructed SoFi Stadium. The last time Los Angeles hosted the Super Bowl, the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Buffalo Bills in Super Bowl XXVII at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.

It’s been 29 years since the city has hosted the big game, and this year, the musical guests feature the best and brightest Los Angeles has to offer. The Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show will be L.A.-centric, featuring Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige and Eminem.

Los Angeles natives will be featured throughout the musical program, including the musician selected to sing “America The Beautiful”, Jhene Aiko.

Her third studio album, Chilombo, was released in 2020.
