The Bucs obviously need a quarterback now that Tom Brady has retired.

Short of trading for Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson or Desean Watson, there are limited options to replace Brady with an elite passer.

What Wentz has that few others do is a history of strong production. He has thrown for more than 20 touchdowns and fewer than 10 interceptions in four of his six seasons.

It’s clear Wentz hasn’t found the right fit yet but Tampa Bay could take a chance and hope that their weapons and defense will give him a better platform to stand on.

He was, after all, an MVP-caliber quarterback not so long ago. He needs some rehabilitation. Bruce Arians might be the head coach who can figure him out.

Realistically are they going to get someone better? Jameis Winston, Teddy Bridgewater and the rest of this free-agent quarterback class don’t exactly outclass Wentz.
