Houston Texans Mock Draft – Third Round

Cincinnati Bearcats. Myjai Sanders. player. 10. EDGE. Pick Analysis. 68. Scouting Report

Houston has two picks in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. The first will be at No. 68 overall, which is their own from being oh so terrible a season ago. If they want to get a player who can make an impact and played in several big games in college, the Texans should pursue pass-rusher Myjai Sanders out of the University of Cincinnati. Group of Five or not, this guy can absolutely ball.

Though not every former Bearcat entering the draft will be a hit, this year’s draft entrants off Luke Fickell’s team have been playing at the program’s zenith the last two seasons. While they lost their two most recent bowls, those were their only losses the last two years. Those came to Georgia in last year’s Peach Bowl and to Alabama as part of the 2022 College Football Playoff.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. G. Dylan Parham. 10. Memphis Tigers. 80. player

This second third-round pick in the Texans’ possession comes from a trade with the New Orleans Saints. They gave up their 2022 third-round pick and a conditional sixth-round pick in 2023 for cornerback Bradley Roby. With this extra third-round selection, the Texans could take Memphis Tigers guard Dylan Parham at No. 80 overall to help round out their impressive day-two picks.

Memphis may not be at the focal point of the Group of Five with Mike Norvell now entering year three at Florida State. However, the Tigers have consistently been one of the better teams in the ACC throughout the College Football Playoff era. By adding a player from one of the premier Group of Five programs in the country, Parham will be served by being draft classmates with Evan Neal.
