4. Alex Chiasson – Forward, Vancouver Canucks

Alex Chiasson has provided quality depth for the Vancouver Canucks as they have salvaged their abysmal start to the season. The Capitals have struggled greatly on special teams this season and Chiasson may be their best solution.

Chiasson has netted five goals this season and four of them were power play goals. Chiasson, if he is made available by the Canucks front office, could be a solution to Washington’s special team issue and a valuable asset to their depth chart.

3. Reilly Smith – Right Wing, Vegas Golden Knights

Reilly Smith is a talented wing who could make an impact right away for the Capitals second line. Smith could even step in for the injured T.J Oshie and replace Conor Sheary who hasn’t been all that impressive. Smith’s been a reliable asset to the Golden Knights this season with 32 points in his 47 games.

Vegas is likely to trade Smith before the deadline to clear space after their blockbuster trade for Jack Eichel earlier in the season. As a versatile offensive tool, Smith could make a huge impact for Washington.
