Maples Leafs trade rumors: JT Miller

Miller has been rumored to be a potential target for the Maple Leafs over the past week. The 6-1, 218 pound forward is expected to be dealt before the deadline despite his team’s heroic push towards a playoff position. Miller, with an exceptional 57 points in his 51 games, has been an anchor for the Canucks and brings versatility to the Leafs lines. Miller plays a majority of his shifts at center but also has experience on the wing where he could complement an already dominant first line. Miller’s contract runs through next season and so his price will be astronomical.

Even so, it’s time for Toronto to go all in.

Maples Leafs trade rumors: Max Domi

Max Domi is a young star with the potential to be a legit top 6 forward in the next few years. The 26-year-old can make an immediate impact on Toronto’s third line as he has with the Blue Jackets this season. Domi has put together a decent season netting nine goals in his 41 games and winning 52 percent of his faceoffs.

The Jackets forward also has experience playing alongside Mitch Marner in the OHL. The Leafs would likely have to ship Alexander Kerfoot to the Jackets along with a few picks to make this work but Domi is a superior center and an equally threatening winger. Domi provides excellent center depth and chemistry to this playoff roster. This trade makes too much sense to pass up.
