124. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. West. 2.. player. AFC. Kansas City Chiefs

Now, we head into the teams that are perennial Super Bowl contenders that could look to sign a big name to add to their roster. The Kansas City Chiefs are a team to always keep an eye on in the offseason.

Kansas City’s running game was middle of the pack last season in terms of average rushing yards per game (115.0). The Chiefs invested a first-round draft pick in Clyde Edwards-Helaire, but he has dealt with his fair share of injuries through his first two seasons in the NFL.

The Chiefs have running backs in Darrel Williams and Jerrick McKinnon hitting unrestricted free agency. Williams lead the team with 558 yards on 114 carries, while McKinnon made most of his impact in the passing game.

Kansas City will forever be in a position to contend for a Super bowl as long as Patrick Mahomes is under contract as their starting quarterback. The offense does need more explosiveness in the backfield, and Fournette can provide just that. He would certainly be a great 1-B option alongside Edwards-Helaire.
