2022 NFL Draft: San Francisco 49ers 7-round mock

San Francisco 49ers Mock Draft – Fifth Round
Look for San Francisco to double-down along the defensive line to satisfy their draft needs. One player who could be available is Michigan Wolverines defensive lineman Christopher Hinton. His namesake father was the perennial Pro Bowl guard who was traded to the then-Baltimore Colts for John Elway, the quarterback who helped Kyle’s father Mike win two Super Bowls with Denver.
San Francisco 49ers Mock Draft – Sixth Round
Despite adding Jobe with their first of two third-round picks on day two, the 49ers should look to add a safety in this year’s draft as well. One player who makes some sense for them who would be available in the sixth round is Miami’s Bubba Bolden. While the Hurricanes struggled in his final year in school, Miami had its moments, albeit fleeting, under its former head coach Manny Diaz.
San Francisco 49ers Mock Draft – Seventh Round
While George Kittle remains one of the very best tight ends in the NFL, San Francisco could use one of its three seventh-round picks on a tight end this year. A player who could be coming off the board around that time is Trae Barry out of Boston College. Much has been made of the job Jeff Hafley has done in Chestnut Hill, so taking a player from an ascending program is worth it here.
The last need the 49ers will need to suffice in the 2022 NFL Draft would be at center. Though they will be reaching for a player at this point of the draft, they could make Dawson Deaton’s draft dreams come true as their No. 255 overall selection in the seventh round. This is a depth-based draft pick, but Big 12 offensive linemen are nimble enough to play in Shanahan’s ZBS scheme.
With the 49ers having satisfied all eight of their draft needs, they are looking pretty much at the best player available with their final pick. Given that he played in the best conference against some elite competition, look for San Francisco to use its last draft selection on a player like South Carolina Gamecocks safety Jaylan Foster. Maybe this makes Deebo Samuel happy or something?
Despite not having a first-round pick, the 49ers will be able to hit all of their draft needs this year.
