Look: Michigan trolls Ohio State for beating them in basketball, too
After beating Ohio State on the gridiron, the Michigan Wolverines took care of business on the hardwood and trolled the Buckeyes for it.
In November, Michigan hosted Ohio State at the Big House and took down the Buckeyes in dominant fashion. Now the basketball team has joined in on the fun.
The Wolverines went on the road to Columbus and took down the Scarlet and Gray 75-69. Needless to say, Michigan’s social media joined in on the fun, celebrating yet another win over Ohio State to add to the 42-27 victory provided by the football team last season en route to a CFP appearance and a Big-Ten Championship.
Michigan Wolverines trolled Ohio State Buckeyes after beating them in both football and basketball
For those who may have forgotten, a dominant effort on both lines of scrimmage helped Michigan end Ohio State’s long winning streak back in November. Aidan Hutchinson, expected to be drafted high in the NFL Draft in April, led the way with a dominant performance, as did running back Hassan Haskins.
Meanwhile, the basketball team also showed some fight of their own. Though Juwan Howard was not present at the game due to his altercation against Wisconsin, the Wolverines under Phil Martelli still found a way to pull out a victory and beat a top-25 ranked team that was also their biggest nemesis.
Devante Jones led Michigan with 21 points and nine rebounds, while Terrance Williams II recorded 17 points. Four players for Michigan recorded over 10 points in the win. As for the Buckeyes, they only had three players post double dights, none scoring above 20. Malaki Branham led Ohio State with 18 while highly touted star EJ Liddell scored 16.
To the victors go the spoils; in this case, it’s the Michigan Wolverines who have taken care of business, at least this year, on both the football field and the basketball court. Hail to the Blue, at least for now.
