Chris Olave

Whoever was doing the 40-yard dash hand timing for the wide receivers really messed up when they marked Chris Olave at 4.26 only for the official time to be revealed as 4.39. What had been an unbelievable time turned into a still very, very good time.

The 40-yard dash mix-up aside, Olave had an outstanding Combine worth of all the attention he received. His on-field workouts were exceptional, proving he deserves to be in the conversation as one of the top wide receivers in the draft pool.

Breece Hall

Iowa State running back Breece Hall is in competition with Kenny Walker III to be the first running back picked in the draft. A strong Combine performance ensured he’s not going to let Walker walk right past him on draft boards.

Hall was the darling of stats models, coming through with historic athleticism scores. Just have a look:

A 4.39-second 40-yard dash, a running back-leading 40-inch vertical and a 10-foot-6 broad jump put to bed any notion that Hall is lacking athleticism. He was brimming with it in Indianapolis.
