Jordan Love trade destinations: 3 teams that should make the call
Denver Broncos
UPDATE: Shortly after this article was published, the Broncos traded for Russell Wilson.
The Broncos were among the teams most often linked to Rodgers while he was weighing his options. It’s not hard to see why. They hired former Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett as head coach.
Of course, Hackett doesn’t just have a connection to Rodgers. He was also the OC in Green Bay when they moved up to draft Love.
No one has worked more closely with Love during his two years in the league. If Hackett can see potential in him, then it’s a no-brainer for the Broncos to turn their attention his way. He wouldn’t be as exciting an acquisition as Rodgers but he’d be a whole lot more affordable and allow Denver to invest in other positional needs.
The Broncos have reportedly set their sights on Russell Wilson as an alternative to Rodgers but there’s a good chance the Seahawks quarterback stays put as well. Love is a reasonable Plan C.
