Deshaun Watson can now be traded by the Houston Texans after he will not be charged criminally for sexual misconduct.

Though most NFL teams will try to stay away from him, the Houston Texans can now look to trade their former franchise quarterback, Deshaun Watson.

Friday was a huge day for Watson’s camp, as he will not be charged criminally for sexual misconduct. This means he will not be doing time in prison if he was found guilty of these charges. As gross as it is that he will likely settle in a multitude of civil cases, Watson could be making his return to the NFL sidelines sooner rather than later. The Texans can finally move on from him now.

Here are three teams who can technically trade for him now that he is not facing criminal charges.

Deshaun Watson cleared: 3 teams who could trade for Texans quarterback

The Seattle Seahawks have a loose culture and are in dire need of a quarterback

After trading away Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos, the Seattle Seahawks are a dead franchise. 70-year-old Pete Carroll won the power struggle over the greatest quarterback in franchise history. While the Seahawks got a decent package in return from Denver, they are rebuilding until they procure a new franchise signal-caller. Watson could be heading west now.

Under Carroll, Seattle has had a loose culture. While it is one mostly about football, the Seahawks have a track record of bringing in guys with questionable character. As flawed as he is personally, Watson was a top-five quarterback during his first few seasons with the Texans. Not every team has the stomach to trade for Watson, but for as long as Carroll is around, Seattle will have one.

The Seahawks should rebuild, as they have built up enough fan equity not to step on the third rail.
