Top potential March Madness games

6. West Region Sweet 16 – No. 2 Duke vs. No. 3 Texas Tech

One of the big storylines in the NCAA Tournament is how Duke will do in Mike Krzyzewski’s final trip to March Madness. The Blue Devils were a questionable choice to land on the 2-line given their overall resume but Duke’s talent base is good enough to beat any team in the country on a given night.

This Sweet 16 matchup against Texas Tech would offer a stiff test for the Blue Devils since the Red Raiders’ rugged defense can smother Duke’s talented freshmen into submission. Duke doesn’t like to play games in the 50s and 60s, something they may have to do here in order to advance to the Elite Eight.

5. Midwest Region Sweet 16 – No. 2 Auburn vs. No. 3 Wisconsin

The Midwest Region hasn’t gotten a ton of love so far since it feels like Kansas will have a cakewalk to the Final Four. The biggest opposition for the Jayhawks should come out of this game as Auburn, which was the top team in the country for a few weeks in mid-February, tries to take out Wisconsin for a trip to the Elite Eight.

The contrast in styles will be fantastic here as Wisconsin looks to bog down the pace against a high-flying Tigers team. There is also plenty of future NBA talent to watch in this game as Jabari Smith and Johnny Davis are likely lottery picks in June’s draft.
