The Dallas Mavericks routed the Los Angeles Lakers, who were without LeBron James on Tuesday night.

The Los Angeles Lakers had received bad news entering Tuesday night’s game against the Dallas Mavericks. LeBron James was ruled out after suffered a left ankle injury this past Sunday in the team’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

As for Los Angeles’ game on Tuesday, they were routed by the Mavericks 128-110. While the final score did not show it, Dallas had a 113-84 lead at the end of the third quarter.

Social media users had some fun at the expense of the Lakers, making fun of them losing to the Mavericks and falling into 11th-place in the Western Conference.

The Mavericks scored 82 first half points against the Lakers. That is the most Los Angeles has allowed in the first half since 1959, when the Lakers surrendered 83 points to the Boston Celtics, per ESPN Stats and Info.

Malik Monk led the way for Los Angeles, scoring 28 points while shooting 10-for-16 from the field and 6-for-10 from the three-point line. Russell Westbrook recorded 25 points (9-for-17 from field).

The Lakers have seven games remaining for them to secure a play-in spot. Their next game on March 31 will be against the Utah Jazz.
