Tiger Woods will try to give it a go in the 2022 Masters Tournament on Thursday morning.
Depending on how his nine practice holes on Wednesday go, Tiger Woods will be playing in the 2022 Masters Tournament.
We are a little more than a year or so removed from Woods nearly losing his life in a terrifying car crash in the Greater Los Angeles area. Woods sustained several debilitating injuries. While everyone is ecstatic that he even survived the crash, for him to even be in a position to compete in the Masters once again is nothing short of incredible. All signs point to him teeing off on Thursday.
When is Woods’ tee time scheduled for Thursday morning at Augusta National?
Tiger Woods Masters tee time: When does he tee off on Thursday?
Update: After an early-morning weather delay at Augusta, the tee times were all pushed back just slightly. Woods was initially set to tee off at 10:34 a.m. ET but that time has been pushed back to 11:04 a.m. ET.
Woods is slated to tee off on late Thursday morning at 10:34 a.m. ET. If he is able to participate in this year’s tournament, he will be playing alongside Louis Oosthuizen and Joaquin Niemann. As Woods said in his pre-Masters Tournament press conference on Tuesday morning, it is not if he can make it through all 18 holes, it is all about how his body is able to recover the next morning.
Woods won the 2019 Masters in what will go down as one of the most magical and unforgettable moments in North American professional sports history. It had been over a decade since he won his previous major championship. For him to celebrate the monumental occasion with his son and daughter, it put a tear down everyone’s face watching the final round on Sunday three years ago.
So much has changed since then. The whole world has had to navigate a global pandemic for two years. Though we are finally on the other side of it, Woods is still working his way back from a potential life-altering car crash. Nobody is expecting him to win another round of golf in his life, but to see him out there on the links at Augusta National competing again would be magnificent.
Here is to Woods making his triumphant return to the Masters Tournament by this time Thursday.
