Duke basketball: Who’s coming in?

Dereck Lively II, Center

Lively II coming into a new program will be the first layer in reconstructing a strong team under a new coach. Duke has the No.1 recruiting class in the country and Lively II is No.1 in the recruiting group.

The 7-foot-1 center would be a great addition to the defensive team, making the rim his ground to protect. He has the ability to work the net and the center well with rebounds and assists.

Kyle Filipowski, Center

Filipowski is another great addition to the defensive squad in the works. He is ranked No.3 in the country and can provide assistance in the post and have an equal share with Lively.

His shooting compliments his defensive handling and could be a good addition on either side of the court.

Dariq Whitehead, Small Forward

Whitehead is a great addition when it comes to needing a shooter off the bench. Whitehead has an impressive shot and should be one to impress the NBA and his competitors with the shot he has off the wing.

Coming into the season as No.5 in the country as a prospect, Duke brings in more solid shooters off the perimeter.
