5. Jonathan Arauz

While Arauz is on the Red Sox depth chart for second base, shortstop and third base, the addition of Trevor Story to Kike Hernandez and Christian Arroyo has definitely pushed back Arrauz’s place on the major league squad.

In five games, he has nine plate appearances. He was able to get one run scored thanks to a sacrifice fly.

Arauz may see himself back in the minor leagues in order to get some consistent at-bats and time to find a position that works best for him as the positions he plays are all held by young stars in Story, Xander Bogarts and Rafael Devers.

It will be interesting to see how Arauz does in the minor leagues and what exactly it will lead to for him. Could he become a trade target?  With two options remaining in the minor leagues, this will be an interesting season for Arauz.
