According to NFL insider Jeff Howe, the Texans could get in on a pair of veteran quarterbacks later this week.

This might be the wildest NFL Draft in recent memory, as there’s expected to be a wild amount of wheeling and dealing throughout the weekend. However, once the draft does wrap up, don’t think for a second that things are going to slow down.

Per Jeff Howe, his sources are telling him that the Houston Texans will be in the QB market once things do come to a close with the draft. The names to watch? That’d be Baker Mayfield and Jimmy Garoppolo.

Jimmy Garoppolo and Baker Mayfield could find new homes soon

For what has felt like an eternity, both Mayfield and Garoppolo have been the subject of trade rumors. San Francisco is ready to rock with Trey Lance as the team’s starter, while Cleveland just traded for Deshaun Watson.

Mayfield wants to move forward as a starter, and he could get that shot if he’s sent to the Texans. Another team that has been linked with Mayfield has been the Seattle Seahawks, who traded Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos earlier this offseason as well.

As for Garoppolo, a move to Houston would also make plenty of sense. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see either of these guys moved during the NFL Draft too. This is going to be something to monitor over the next few days, but the expectation is that Houston will be busy making moves. Stay tuned, NFL fans.
