James Bradberry released by Giants: 3 new teams for Pro Bowl CB
By John Buhler
Look for him to reunite with Patrick Graham in Silver and Black in Vegas, baby!
Without debate, the Las Vegas Raiders have to be the favorite to sign Bradberry this offseason. Not only are the Silver and Black going for broke with their flurry of offseason acquisitions, but Bradberry’s former defensive coordinator Patrick Graham now works for Josh McDaniels in Sin City. Graham was calling the shots defensively during Bradberry’s Pro Bowl campaign in New York.
While the Raiders have established a defensive identity by way of the pass rush, it would serve them to get an incredibly savvy player like Bradberry in the defensive backfield. Keep in mind that Casey Hayward went one-and-done in Las Vegas, as the noted Gus Bradley disciple decided he needed to go home to Georgia and play for those flightless Atlanta Falcons. Good luck with that…
Though many people thought the Raiders have little shot of getting making the AFC playoffs after last year’s surprise run into January, you cannot deny what Dave Ziegler has done since taking over the front office. In an NFL city with no state income tax and a realistic shot at winning the AFC West for the first time in decades, why not keep going for broke and sign Bradberry off the street?
If the Raiders do end up with Bradberry, this team could be a lock to win double-digit games again.
