The Philadelphia 76ers lost Danny Green for remainder of Game 6 after he injured left knee on an inadvertent collision with Joel Embiid.
The Philadelphia 76ers needed to win Game 6 against the Miami Heat if they wanted their season to remain alive. Early on in the game, they lost a pivotal member of their starting lineup due to injury.
Early on in the game, Joel Embiid drove to the paint and went for the layup. In the process, Embiid fell to the court, but also collided with the left knee of Danny Green. Afterwards, Green had to be carried off of the court.
The team announced that Green was ruled out for the remainder of Game 6.

ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported that he will get an MRI to determine the severity of his left knee injury. But, Wojnarowski reported that sources told ESPN that there is “significant concern” regarding Green’s left knee injury.
Prior to the injury, Green scored three points on his lone shot attempt and recorded one steal in three minutes of playing time.
Entering Game 6, Green averaged 9.1 points and 3.4 rebounds while shooting 39.8-percent from the field and 40.0-percent from the three-point line in 11 playoff games.
With Green out, the rest of the team will have to really step up to win. If they do not, their season will end, and their streak of not making it past the second round will extend to 21 years.
